Also present were Dogan Sahir  Director of the Green Action Group and star of local television Ertac Hazer.
Matters discussed included the constant indiscriminate use of lethal poisons which  kills not only dogs cats but also wildlife . The continuing  damage  to the environment  following the decomposition of carcasses and the many consequences was also discussed.
Mr Asikoglu  reassured that an incinerator was to be built with EU money but he was unable to say when that would be. Registration of all owned dogs was something that Mr Asikoglu felt strongly about and he promised to lobby the relevant departments to make sure registration was carried out in all districts.
The neutering of all owned dogs was also something he felt should be encouraged by the Government  and he promised to support KAR in this campaign.
